In January 2026, Makkah Paint Company (MPC) conducted an official visit to 3Trees, one of China’s leading paint and coatings manufacturers, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships and explore advanced technology localization opportunities.
The visit focused on identifying areas of collaboration across industrial coatings, with particular emphasis on supporting the evolving needs of the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. Both sides discussed potential frameworks for technical cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the localization of advanced coating technologies that align with Saudi Arabia’s industrial development priorities.
During the visit, the MPC delegation toured 3Trees’ manufacturing facilities and research centers, gaining insight into China’s rapidly advancing capabilities in coatings innovation. The delegation also met with Mr. Lin Dedian, Vice President of Skshu Paint Co., Ltd., and Chairman of Shanghai Skshu New Material & Waterproof Technology Co., Ltd., where discussions explored strategic collaboration opportunities and areas of mutual interest.
Technology Localization
China has developed a strong research and development ecosystem in industrial coatings, delivering high-performance solutions tailored for demanding environments such as energy, heavy industry, and large-scale infrastructure. The engagement provided a valuable platform to explore how global technological advancements can be adapted and localized to support regional industrial requirements.
This visit reflects MPC’s broader commitment to building international partnerships that accelerate technology transfer and strengthen local manufacturing capabilities. By engaging with global industry leaders, MPC continues to position itself as a bridge between advanced coating innovation and localized industrial implementation.
MPC remains focused on identifying strategic collaborations that support the Kingdom’s localization agenda while delivering high-performance coating solutions tailored to critical industrial sectors.
